A Month of Letters Challenge is Coming

For several years in a row now I have participate in the Month of Letters Chalenge during February.  There are only two rules to the challenge.
  1. In the month of February, mail at least one item through the post every day it runs. Write a postcard, a letter, send a picture, or a cutting from a newspaper, or a fabric swatch.
  2. Write back to everyone who writes to you. This can count as one of your mailed items.

Do you enjoy writing or recieving letters?  Are you tired of just getting junk mail and bills?  Snail mail may be slow, but it can also be fun and is easy to personalize.  I love sending and reciving letters, but with the fast pace of life I often forget to sit down and enjoy things.  Will you join me and many others in sending and recieving mail this next month?

Is there anyone you could write to?  If not or if you want more people to write you can always look for new pen pals on the site or in several other places on the internet.  (Do be careful of course.)  I use a PO Box myself.

So are you interested?  Or do you want to know a little more?  Check out the FAQ on A Month of Letters Challenge.

As a lifestyle lolita letter writing is a lot of fun.  It can also be elegant or cute.  There are all sorts of different kinds of stationary and cards out there to chose from.  My house mate and I scored a shoe box worth of cards from getting $2 grab bags from the craft store last year.  I am looking forward to using some of those.  But you don't need anything fancy to write a letter to someone.  You can use whatever you have laying around.

The website hasn't been updated yet for the new year, but I believe it was like that last year too.  There is already a topic on the forums of people ready for this new month.  And whether or not the site gets updated I am sure plenty of us will still be writing.

So what do think?  Are you in?  Do you want to write?  Do you want a pen pal?

Tata,
Lilian A. Brennan
